Jared Kollen

I worked for 12 years as a correctional officer for the Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC). Half of that time was spent working in special and mental health housing. While an officer, I served as secretary, treasurer, and the president of my local. After leaving ODOC, I spent six years working for Oregon AFSCME as a Union Representative; I represented members in discipline hearings, grievance and arbitration hearings, negotiated collective bargaining agreements and helped lobby the Oregon Legislature for issues directly effecting my assigned locals.
