Rey Osorio began his career in Corrections in 1982 at the Cameron County Sheriffs, Jail Division.  Where he obtained his Jailers and TCOLE License.  In 1987 Rey started with TDC at the Ramsey I Unit in Rosharon, Texas and promoted to Sergeant in 1989.  In 1995 Rey started with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  His duty assignments included FCI Three Rivers, USP Beaumont and FDC Houston.  In 2020 he retired with over 38 yrs. of experience in Corrections.  In 2020 Rey began is career with AFSCME Texas Correctional Employees Council as a Organizer/Representative for the Beaumont Area.  Rey is here to represent Union Members with over 38 yrs. experience in Corrections and 20 yrs. experience as a Union Representative in the Federal Sector with the DOJ- BOP.  His experience includes Employee Disciplinary Hearings, Employee Arbitrations,  Employment Mediations, Employee Investigations, OIG Investigations, EEOC cases, Workers Comp cases, Health, and Safety cases, as well as Legislative Advocacy.
